The older I get the more I greatly appreciate who is in my life and know there is a reason. I believe in divine intervention. I beleive everyone has a purpose or reason for crossing your path. I want to take the time in the next few weeks and let you know has changed, impacted or helped in some form change my life. I had been in a very painful creative block that brought many, many tears and thoughts of why is this happening to me. I simply adore my job and wanted so much more for myself and I could not get there, or anywhere for that fact. I know there are many of you out there that want to know me more, I am here to share these things with you. I am a pretty private person and I am happy to share this, as you never know something in these posts just might change you in some form. I have met and connected with some fabulous creative people that helped me without even knowing that they did or were at the time. so here it goes. it may simpy have been a word, words, a photo, a song, quote or saying, self help realization workbook or e-course..whatever it was, it changed me FOREVER!
this is not the order of who or how it changed it but this post is about THE MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE THAT DID THE MOST IMPACT..
Danielle LaPorte, The Spark Kit
danielle's e-book, e-course and worksheets shaped my life & work motto. It is a self-realization experience that can take you to a place you have always wanted to be. "because self-realization rocks!" danielle says!!
Jesh De Rox, The Beloved Movement,
Jesh De Rox's Website
Jesh, oh Jesh! there are so many fabulous and wonderful inspiring words I could say, but I don't have enough time or room. A beautous person that has brought a movement to the world of portrait artists to re-connect you with the love of photography again. Not only are his words a muse of mine, but his images speak truth, love, divine connection and hope for this every so sad world we live in. he is truly a human that I could be mentored by for life. When he speaks, the world listens as he truly not only see what an image can be, but a feeling you should get when you photograph.
Ashley Skjaveland, Ashley Skjaveland's Blog
Do you ever get the feeling that you meet someone that could be your soulmate friend? well, in this beautiful, loving person- I could see us being dear friends for life!! I am not only moved by her images, but incredibly so-her documents of life, love and pure unconditional connections. I purchased "Newborn" from her not too long after it came out, to gain some hope back while trying to break my creative block and she not only majorly impacted me with the book, she emotionally attached me back to who I was as an artist. I was searching for something "trendy" to adhere to, to feel like I was achieving artwork, but in reality I found my soul again while realizing I was not a trend follower, I am a trend setter. I like to create something that no one has done or thought of before, and I was cheating myself by doing the opposite. She made me realize that is not who I am or will become. She simply offered her heart in my time of need. It all came together after I read a few pages of "Newborn" and was finishing up "The Spark Kit." I had a light turn on, it has been dark and lonely where I was and she allowed my natural light to shine..A great daily read(her blog), a fabulous book to read about becoming who you want to be- not be someone's perfect and a friend to share ideas with. a must read, a must double read- both the blog and her book.
You thought you knew you, You Thought You Knew You-- website
a ultra-special place I often to go whenever I feel the need to re-connect with myself, the artist in me. Not just being a photographer, but a real creative all around.v I am very big about only visiting websites that make me better, a place to think outside the box and a website that it outside of my specialty. I look and find so many things that inspire me that are either un-photography related or a place that makes me feel uncomfortable. Not in a bad way, but I need something to challenge me. As most of you know I am not a typical run of the mill photographer. I find the most museful things to be not in my niche or un-photography related. this is a place to challege your mind, heart and soul. to learn about what people thought they knew about themselves, but are challenged to think "outside" their box..
Jenay Baethke, no website sorry!
A beauty with a even more beautiful peronality. A girl that suddenly became a best friend of mine. I have a limited amount of true friends. I like to have friends, but value even more having only a few that are very dear to me. and she is one of them..I find out day by day how much love I have for her and her baby. She made me realize many things over the last several months we have been hanging out, on what a a good person I am. Who I am becoming and what I want to become. I just adore her so much, I could hug her daily- for just being her. When she is around she lights up my heart and soul. She has a fabulous baby that so reminds me of one of my boys when he was a baby. It is rare to connection with someone on so many levels, but it is even rarer to soulfully connect with a human being that you can care so much about, I miss her if I don't see her weekly:( we have a date together each week, lately both her and I have been so busy it has been hard. We are getting back on schedule this week though. I wish I could shar you with her, with a website or something..I can't though she has none. But she does fabulous hair Axis Salon, their website is Axis Hair Salon.
well, it is getting late and I have many more to share as the week goes by, so feel free to read and share the love to those that I love on here..check em out, they just might change your life!! good day! I can't leave a post though without any images--enjoy!
